Steamcream the Miracle Moisturiser

Steamcream! I feel like I might be a teeny bit in love with this moisturiser! I bought it for the first time on a whim a few years ago, I was initially attracted to the beautifully designed packaging of the moisturisers. As an arty person I must admit that this was the main reason I picked up the moisturiser in the first place (clearly ignored the "Don't judge a book by its cover" memo). Im very glad now though that I did buy it. This moisturiser has by far exceeded my expectations, and I can proudly say that I'm now onto my third tin of the stuff!

The steamcream formula is lightweight and absorbs quickly; leaving your skin silky smooth with long-lasting hydration. I love how the product nourishes without feeling too heavy or greasy on the skin. Moisturisers can sometimes be a nightmare for oily skin, and I've definitely preferred this to others I've used in the past, I can be confident with this that my skin won't break out or become overly oily. This moisturiser would be great for sensitive skin types too, its such a gentle formula that steamcream claims its even safe for babies!

The moisturiser gets the name steamcream from the way it is made; a shot of hot steam is used to fuse all the ingredients together. The base of the product is made from cream of oat milk which has a high level of minerals that soothe irritation. Other ingredients include: orange flower water, jojoba oil and lavender essential oil, amongst others that make it calming and anti-inflammatory. I also admire how each of the ingredients bring a different quality to the steamcream to benefit your skin in various ways. The products scent is the combination of oils blended, which turns out quite pleasant and fresh (similar to sudocrem).

When wearing a moisturiser I want something that makes my face feel hydrated and is comfortable enough to wear alone or under makeup. Its such a nuisance when moisturisers leave foundation looking cakey or contribute to it sliding off the face! Steamcream is so lightweight that it doesn't affect my makeup coverage at all, which is a first for me and I'm 24! The only negative comment I can give this product if I were to be really picky, is the lack of SPF; it would've been handy to have some sun protection in it.

I'd recommend this product without a shadow of a doubt! You get an average sized tin of the product and if you just use it on your face that can last a pretty long time. The moisturiser is incredibly versatile so can be used on other parts of the body, although I've only ever used it on my face so can't really comment on that. If any of you are interested in checking it out, the official steamcream website (www.steamcream.com) gives a lot more detail of the product, so its worth a read!
